Motivating a young adult to develop an interest in any particular field can be quite challenging. However, you need not worry, because the Y offers a multitude of programs that are specifically designed to ignite their curiosity and kindle a passion for exploring the wonders of the world. Whether it's sports, arts, or any other area of interest, the Y has something for everyone. These programs are also a great way to meet new people and make lasting friendships. So, why not encourage your young adult to join one of the many Y programs and start discovering their passions today?

Join us for ongoing activities designed for ages 9–17 in 2025. The Youth Center will be open:

Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 5–8 PM
Thursdays: 5–6:30 PM
Saturdays: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM

Join us in our Youth Center for Teen Night!

Youth & Government

YMCA Youth & Government is a nationwide civic engagement and servant leadership program that allows high school students to represent and serve their communities through model government, leadership and professional development, advocacy, and service learning.

The program culminates with the teens serving as delegates at their state conference, debating bills on the floor of the legislature. As a result of the program, young people learn about the democratic system and are trained in parliamentary procedure, legislative committee process, debate, press relations, and lobbying techniques. Delegates learn by doing and have the opportunity to try their hand at leadership in an open and receptive learning environment.

P.I.L.O.Ts

The Progressive Individual Leadership of Teens is a community-service and Social Emotional Learning program for teens. Each session teens will have an opportunity to learn about different social emotional topics such as: stress, goal-stetting, healthy relationships, etc. As well as, completing a project for service hours.

This program allows for teens to grow within themselves and their community whilst offering them something wonderful to place on college applications and resumes. Join us in providing reciprocal care to our youth and our community, and be a part of PILOTing your own future!

Meets every Tuesday, 6:30-8:00 pm

Jr. Lifeguard / CPR

Skills sessions will be scheduled in small groups after online course completion. Both an online course and an in-person skills session must be completed before certification is issued.

Our program consists of an online cognitive section and a hands-on instructor-led skills session using CPR mannequins. Additionally, group work is incorporated to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

Babysitting

Get the skills and knowledge you need to be a reliable babysitter with our comprehensive classes. Learn feeding, diapering, safety, and more to give parents peace of mind.

For ages 11–14.

Teen Camp @ Camp Collins

Teen camp is for our high school-age campers who are looking for a traditional week of camp. They’ll learn to work successfully with various people and personalities, practice modeling positivity, and take ownership of their camp experience. Enjoy time on the Aerial Park, Giant Swing, or Leap of Faith to develop confidence, support your peers, and discover your best self. Teen Camp includes a full-day rafting trip where teens enhance friendships and use new skills.

Counselor In Training (CIT)

CITs are mature campers that are interested in becoming future camp counselors. This two-week residential program will be spent working with our experienced camp staff to be leaders and future camp staff. CITs will learn the necessary aspects of camp counseling and youth development, emphasizing understanding children, diversity, leadership skills, and the YMCA Christian Principles of love, respect, honesty, responsibility, and service.

Available to campers entering grades 11-12. There is no cost for the CIT program at YMCA Camp Collins. Interested teens must apply and undergo an interview process before being accepted as a CIT. Upon acceptance, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred session.

Teen Leadership

Teen Leadership is a two-week program for high school campers interested in personal growth and learning about leadership. Participants will receive an introduction to leadership skills, team building, and working with youth by participating in a fun and engaging program.
