After School Enrichment | Fall 2023 | Parent Information
Afterschool Pick-up:
We will provide transportation after-school for kids that attend Hawksview Elementary school and Middleton Elementary school. Hawksview students will be picked up by YMCA staff on the YMCA bus. Middleton students will be met by YMCA staff and will walk with a staff member from the school to the YMCA. If your child attends another School in the district you will need to reach out to the district transportation dept to see if there is access to transportation or find your own transportation.
* Transportation availability can change over the process and development of the program and please inquire if you if have any questions about this at all.
Hours of Care:
Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri- 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Wed, 1:15 PM -5:30 PM (Early Release Days)
Half Days- 11:15 AM -5:30 PM (see calendar for dates)
Attendance:
Please report any days of absence to Rmoran@ymcacw.org, phone: 503-862-4017, or call our Welcome center 503.625.9622 to let us know if your child will not be attending our programs.
Program Schedule:
After-school enrichment will only be offered on the days school is in session. Varying Schedule available based on participants registration. Parents need to register and choose the days children will be attending. Schedule changes can be made with prior notice and authorization from the program leader. Please provide two weeks' notice of any schedule changes. The program will follow the school district calendar and we will offer alternate programs to enroll children in on non-school days. After-school enrichment will also follow our facility closures. Our facility will also be closed for Y-day's, which are staff development days when all staff participate in continuing education training to better serve our community. No Afterschool enrichment will be offered on these dates. We will share a calendar of these days with you during program enrollment.
After-school Curriculum and Activities:
We will use the YMCA after school enrichment curriculum and will provide additional enriching activities and opportunities to explore lots of different interest's kids may have. We will integrate using our facility to have kids be active and healthy. We will have days that will be communicated the week prior where we will take field trips to do enrichment activities outside of the facility. We will get prior authorization and make sure this is well communicated.
Rates:
Registration fee: $75 Yearly
5 days a week
Member: $500, Non-Member: $700, non-refundable
3 days a week
Member: $360, Non-Member: $456
2 days a week
Member: $280, Non-Member: $329
*Rates are based off monthly enrollment.
Snacks:
A snack will not be provided. Please pack an additional snack for your child for after-school.
After-school Schedule
2:15 PM - 3:00 PM: Pick up & Indoor/Outdoor play
3 PM - 3:15 PM: Bathroom Break & Snack
3:15 PM - 4:15 PM:Enrichment Activity based on the weekly theme (Ex: Reading journal, Math, Science, Art, Cooking, Design & Build, Animation).
4:15 PM - 5 PM: Gross Motor Enrichment (Ex: Group games, Sports court activities, Rock wall, swimming).
5 PM - 5:30 PM: Free choice Activity/Parent Pick-up
*Schedule Subject to change based on season and availability of facility use. We will adjust the schedule for additional care on Early release Wednesdays.

We will have additional programs available to register for. Program Schedule will be 8 AM - 5:30 PM on these days listed below. No food will be provided.
